Mapping Architectural Concepts Across Lebanon’s Diverse Landscapes and Climates ➔
Design Footprint
This interactive map, Design Footprint, presents a spatial representation of conceptual architectural projects strategically positioned within Lebanon’s diverse geographic framework. Extending from the Mediterranean coastline, across fertile valleys and undulating hills, to the elevated ridges of the Anti-Lebanon Mountains, the map highlights the direct correlation between each project’s location and its environmental, climatic, and cultural context.
It articulates how distinct climatic zones and varied cultural landscapes act as primary design parameters—informing spatial organization, volumetric articulation, and material selection. Through this lens, biophilic design principles—anchored in the integration of natural systems and enhanced by cultural narratives—are systematically adapted to respond to regional environmental conditions, microclimates, and community needs.
Design Footprint serves as both an analytical and experiential tool, enabling the observer to trace the intersection of context-driven form generation, sustainable materiality, and technological integration. The result is a portfolio of architectural concepts that balance visionary exploration with grounded responsiveness to Lebanon’s topography, climate diversity, and socio-cultural fabric.
