At Black M House, I have created a contemporary modern house that showcases the innovative approach of building modern architecture underground. I believe that this approach is not only sustainable and efficient, but also offers numerous benefits such as reduced energy consumption, improved privacy, and reduced noise pollution. By utilizing the natural insulation provided by the surrounding earth, I have created a unique and aesthetically pleasing design that seamlessly blends with the surrounding landscape. The visible part of the house is characterized by geometric lines that form two openings to allow light into the house. One opening is a glass façade that illuminates the living and kitchen area, while the other is a horizontal crack that brings light and air into the bedroom and other services. My design takes into account various factors such as site analysis, soil quality, water drainage, and lighting to create a successful modern underground architecture. I have paid particular attention to ventilation systems to ensure a healthy indoor environment. To counter the lack of natural light, we have used clever lighting design techniques and incorporated skylights, light wells, and mirrors to reflect natural light into the space. My choice materials, such as concrete and steel, were carefully selected for their durability and ability to withstand the pressures of the earth.
